Skincare is constantly evolving, with new trends and technology increasing at a rapid pace.  Derma MD continues to pay attention to these trends and make adjustments to its product line to include the industry's most results oriented ingredients. You will see as we go through some of the top trends in 2015 how Derma MD is here to help YOU, the Salon/Spa owner offer the BEST in Skincare treatments and products.

Here are some of 2015's hottest skincare trends

    1. Non-surgical Treatments will continue to grow as technology in lasers, peels & products advances. By the end of 2015 you may even see a topical Botox treatment!  As the year goes on you will begin to see more “mimicking” products like Derma MD's Eye Lifting and Tightening Serum. Mimicking Products are sought after by baby boomers who may be leery of more invasive treatments.  Botox treatments are down, while "no-tox" treatments are on the rise. These treatments can keep facial muscles toned, tight and relaxed rather than "frozen".
    2. Treatments for Men will continue to grow. More men are staying in the workforce longer and want to maintain a youthful appearance so they can compete in the job market. Men will be looking for Anti-Aging Products and treatments. “Hero” is loaded with Anti-Aging ingredients formulated for a men’s thicker skin.
    3. In this new world of technology, consumers want service on demand whether it be online or in person. Websites should have an “ask a specialist” option so customer questions can be addressed immediately. Website should have “stores” so your customers can buy your products at the click of a button.
    4. Consumers are more educated in skincare than ever with easy access to information on-line.  They want to be treated like individuals so skincare professionals need to work to provide more customized solutions for their clients. Skin Care retail is the highest it has ever been with smaller companies such as Derma MD having a real presence in the market place. Estheticians need to continue to educate themselves in the new products, services and technology on the market today. Clients prefer to buy from their professionals, whether it be skincare, haircare or wellness products.
    5. Anti-Aging is still one of the biggest trends in the skincare industry with a reach that crosses generations.  As the baby boomer generation tries to reverse signs of aging, the younger generations are eager to try and prevent signs of aging. The trend we are seeing now is that the age of consumers for anti-aging products and treatments has expanded from people in their 20's to the elderly. Spas and salons need to address the needs of all these customers.
    6. In the near future you will start to see whole body wellness centers emerge with skincare, health, fitness and diet professionals all under one roof.  The increasing awareness of how what you put in your body effects what you see on the outside, will drive beauty conscious consumers to strive for a more holistic approach to their lifestyle.
