  • Communicating With Your Customers

Now that you have streamlined your business, services & products to accommodate your core customers we need to look at other ways besides discounts and rewards to keep them coming back.

Communicating with your customers is extremely important. Whether it be by an email newsletter, monthly flier, reminder card for a service or a greeting card, you need to set up a system for reaching out to the customers you already have. Dedicate time to creating and maintaining a database of contact information including phone, email and regular mail addresses. If there is a social media element to your business, invite people to your page or website and keep that online element fresh.

This system will not only help maintain your core customers but you will now be in touch with the one time customers as well to help GROW your business.

Once you have all the information on the customer here is what you should do:

    1. The day after treatment send an email thanking them for their business and any other instructions that were given at time of treatment. i.e. stay out of sun for 24 hours.
    2. 1 week later. Send an email to just check in with the customer. No sales pitch. Just a simple email asking them how they are doing and then maybe share some important fact about the treatment they received.
    3. 2 weeks after the second email, offer them a loyalty program.

Create a Loyalty Program according to the type of services you are offering.   Most treatment programs begin with an initial series of 3 treatments within the first month. After that maintenance treatments monthly. You could have a punch card and after 10 treatments they get 1 free. You could even offer a bonus punch OR FREE product if they pre-book their next appointment.

Pre-booking appointments helps to not only keep the customer coming back for regular appointments but will enhance what you are trying to achieve in the series of treatments.

Be creative with loyalty programs. This can be anything from a punch card to offering a discount after a certain number of treatments. Change things up frequently to keep things interesting.
