  • April and May – the Best Months to Start a Series of Corrector Peels

Once spring is in the air it's the perfect time to plan a series of 6 Corrector Peels. During the dry winter months our skin builds a dry protective shell on its surface. This barrier is made of dull and lifeless cells that do wonders to protect our faces during the harsh, cold months of winter. Once the cold dry air has left then it's time to slough away those dull surface cells to uncover the dewy, healthy and glowing skin beneath.

The best practice with Corrector Peels is to have 6 peels, each spaced 2 weeks apart, making the total treatment time 3 months. Beginning in early April is perfect timing because your series of peels will be completed at the end of June. Sun exposure should be avoided following peel treatments so beginning a series of peels in the summer months means you are risking getting sun and could hyperpigment if the sun's burning rays hits this fresh, newly exfoliated skin. Always wear a sun block or spf sunscreen following a peel treatment.

Clients that undergo a series of 6 peels before summer find that they have healthier looking tans and a nice summer glow to their skin. Without exfoliation tans can look leathery because of these dull and dead surface skin cells. Using Pink Silk following a Corrector Peel is always recommended and Copper C0Q10 is a must for post peel care. Both reduce redness, inflammation and irritation, which can happen following a peel. To keep your skin looking and feeling it's best and rejuvenated, firm and healthy it is recommended to have a series of peels in both the spring and the fall.
